Great Montreal Christmas Markets
Montreal’s Place des Festivals turns into a magical winter wonderland as local artists, artisans, and craftsmen gather together at the Great Christmas Market. Enjoy live entertainment, taste local delicacies, and shop over 80 artists.
Old Québec City & Québec City German Market
Vieux-Québec, Place Royale, and the Petit Champlain districts with narrow cobblestone streets and historic buildings with bistros and boutiques are fun to explore, but when the air becomes crisp and snow begins to fall, Old Québec transitions into a stunning winter wonderland! It is here, in the heart of Old Québec, where visitors will find the charming German Christmas Market. Just like in Europe, visitors are greeted by wooden kiosks with smiling, welcoming exhibitors with original gift ideas. Delicious German treats, spontaneous performances, Christmas lights and music, and a warm atmosphere all combine for a magical festive experience in the old city.
Hôtel Clarendon
This renowned hotel is part of the “living history” of Québec City, and it is one of the oldest continuously running hotels in Canada, well, almost continuously running … it was closed for renovation after a fire in 2019, and has re-opened with modern infrastructure and amenities with a transitional style that honours the art-deco and art-nouveau heritage from the past. What makes the Hôtel Clarendon extra special is its distinctive historic setting in the heart of Old Québec, just a stone’s throw from major tourist attractions.
