    Payment & Cancellation

    • Payment Information

At the time of booking, a deposit is required to secure the reservation and “Save the Seat”. Tours in Canada has the right to cancel reservations if payments are not received according to the schedule below, and may withhold any payments already made. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cheque, VISA, MasterCard or American Express or Interac Debit at the Tours in Canada office. The chart below provides details for deposit and final payment requirements, as well as cancellation charges. After submitting the deposit, the balance can be paid in installments, as long as the amount owed is paid in full by the required date.

    • Occupancy

Prices are listed as double or single occupancy. In the event that a guest, booked as a double, changes their occupancy to single, an additional charge will be applied to reflect the difference in price between double and single occupancy. This policy will apply before departure and while the trip is underway.

    • Flights

When guests request that Tours in Canada should book a flight that is not part of the standard package, payment in full for the flight is due when the flight is booked, and any upgrades requested will be non-refundable.

    • Changes to Reservations

Reservation changes requested while deposits are fully refundable have no administration fee. After that, changes are subject to an administration fee of $50 per person. This is in addition to any change or cancellation fees that may be imposed by other parties such as airlines.

Other than room type, changes requested after final payment is due are considered to be cancellations and charges may apply per the chart below.

    • Cancellation Charges

If Tours in Canada cancels a departure, for whatever reason, all money is refunded if no suitable alternative is chosen.

If a guest needs to cancel a reservation, the cancellation charges, detailed in the chart below, are dependent on the amount of notice provided in relation to the departure date of the trip. Please notify Tours in Canada immediately to minimize the cancellation penalties.

It should be noted that for trips tied to special events, special cancellation terms may apply. These terms will be specified in the “Information About This Tour” section of the tour details.

By purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance, penalties can be avoided in the event that a covered reason necessitates cancellation. In the event of cancellation, Travel Advisors may also have applicable fees and charges. Tours in Canada is not responsible for travel arrangements outside the packaged vacation which are affected by cancellation.

If a guest must leave a tour early, Tours in Canada does not refund the value of the unused portion of a trip. Trip Interruption Insurance, for a covered reason, will cover the unused portion of the trip and may also cover the arrangements to get home.

It should be noted that some Trip Cancellation/ Trip Interruption insurance policies specifically address reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important that the covered reasons and exclusions for these policies are understood.
