      Canadian Rockies

Wild wilderness, vibrant cities, quiet villages, and magnificent mountains – that’s Canada’s West!

Quaint Victoria, with touches of bygone Britain, gives us Butchart Gardens, named one of the most beautiful in the world (National Geographic). Travel the San Juan de Fuca Islands by ferry to Vancouver where Chinatown and artsy Gas Town never disappoint.

Head north along the Sea-to-Sky Highway where sheer rock faces and waterfalls fill the large coach windows. Whistler’s refined backcountry shops and best-kept-secret food spots enliven the base of the mountain. You have a free day to explore the village and the surrounding trails!

Alberta wears North America’s raw beauty crown. Glacier National Park has elk, curly-horned sheep, and grizzlies! Take the gondola above Banff’s Sulphur Mountain and float down the river to get a closer view of the spectacular Hoodoos. Finish with a breathtaking drive on the Columbia Icefields (the largest icefield south of the Arctic Circle).

      • Why This Tour is Great

        The Mountains are Calling!

This tour in Western Canada is all about the Canadian Rockies! Formed somewhere between 80-55 million years ago, when Pacific plates began to slide under the North American plate, The Canadian Rockies form a ridge of mountains along western North America. Four Canadian National Parks reside in the Rockies forming a total of over 20,000 square kilometres of dazzling protected wilderness and are designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

        Brimming with Wildlife

As if the jaw-dropping scenery isn’t enough this area is brimming with wildlife and a great place to spot charismatic creatures like grizzly bears, black bears, elk, bighorn sheep, moose and caribou in their natural habitat.

        Iconic National Parks

Located in the Rocky Mountains are some of the best National Parks Canada has to offer including Banff National Park, the oldest in North America and third oldest in the World. Located in the heart of Glacier National Park is Rogers Pass, the historical site that tells the story of the final spike driven into the Canadian Pacific Railway providing the essential link in the railway that brought Canada together. Jasper National Park is the largest within the Canadian Rockies, and is home to the Athabasca Glacier, one of the six principal 'toes' of the Columbia Icefield.
