Longwood Gardens is an esteemed botanical jewel that showcases more than 9000 species of plants throughout six districts of indoor and outdoor space. See how they celebrate winter with their Winter Wonderland exhibit and keep your eye open for one of their signature blooms, the blue poppy.
See the Largest Collection of American Artifacts
Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library is an American estate and museum dedicated to preserving American history with over 90,000 objects that were made in America from 1630-1860. The collection is on display in a grand 175-room house with each room decorated to display a different period in American history. The owner of the house, H. F. du Pont was a horticulturist and proudly designed the 60-acre naturalistic gardens. Beyond that lies 1000 acres of farmland, meadows and waterways, which can be explored by foot or a narrated tram ride.
Discover the Story of Glass
The Corning Museum of Glass is devoted to the art, history, and science of glass and contains over 50,000 artifacts spanning 3,500 years of history. This multi-level museum features many thematically curated exhibits and displays magnificent glass artwork by world-famous artists.

Day 1: Travel to Scranton
Enjoy the drive through the wonderful farm country of Southwestern Ontario as fellow guests are picked up along the route. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel to Scranton, PA. After checking into the hotel, get to know your fellow guests with an included cocktail reception and welcome dinner.

Day 2: Arrive in Philadelphia, City Tour
After breakfast, arrive in Philadelphia just in time for lunch. A great place to check out is the Reading Terminal Market, a “gastronomic bazaar” filled with over 80 merchants. Hop back on the coach for a riveting 3 hour city tour. Discover famous areas like “Old City”, the birthplace of American independence, and Christ Church, A National Historic Site and burial ground of Benjamin Franklin.
After getting your bearings, the afternoon is yours to discover the many museums, sites, and attractions. Later, come together and share your stories from the day during a group dinner. The rest of the evening is free time but be sure to get a good night's sleep as tomorrow is a day of floral delights!

Day 3: Philadelphia Flower Show
Get ready to experience America’s largest and longest-running horticultural event at the 2024 Philadelphia Flower Show. See the elaborate displays created by world-class landscape and floral designers showcasing this year’s theme, United by Flowers. Spend the day learning tips from top gardening experts and shop the 150+ vendor Marketplace.

Day 4: Longwood Garden, Winterthur Museum, Garden, & Library
The first stop of the day is at one of America’s Premier Gardens, Longwood Gardens. Enjoy a guided tour to uncover the history of the grounds and celebrate the last remaining days of their Winter Wonderland exhibit with signature plants like clivias on display inside the Conservatory. The next stop is the Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library, home to one of the largest collections of Americana artifacts. Tour the museum, housed in the 175-room home of Henry Francis Dupont and the Garden, which consists of meadows, farmlands, and waterways. Narrated tram rides are available. Arrive back in Philadelphia just in time for dinner and a free evening.

Day 5: Corning Glass Museum
After breakfast, say goodbye to “The City of Brotherly Love” and start the journey homeward. In the afternoon, visit the Corning Museum of Glass, the world’s largest space dedicated to the history, art, and science of glass. Take a self-guided tour through the exhibits and even see a live hot glass demo (schedule permitting). After the hotel check in, freshen up and rejoin the group for a farewell dinner.

Day 6: Home
Continue the journey home today, crossing the border into Canada at around noon. After lunch, reboard the coach and travel home with new goals and inspirations for your gardens.
