Tour Starting Point: Halifax, NS
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Halifax is best known for its fresh seafood, incredible natural landscapes, maritime charm, its history, and one of the world’s longest downtown boardwalks. During a guided tour, hear the stories and historical context while seeing the important landmarks and sights in this interesting, naval city.
Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo & Back Stage Tour
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo originated in 1979 to mark the visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother for the International Gathering of the Clans. The pageantry was such a success that the provincial government established the event as an annual celebration which has evolved into a 9-day production. This Tattoo is special in a way that it involves both military and civilian performers.
Originally, a tap toe (tattoo) was a drummer going through the village to call British soldiers back to the barracks. Regardless of ancestral roots, this show will surely delight and stir your heart.
Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The colourful town of Lunenburg sits snug on the shore of southern Nova Scotia. Named the most beautiful small town in Canada, see original colonial buildings, their facades freshly-painted in candy apple red, cobalt, and lemon. The past has been preserved here like a museum. The guided walking tour of Lunenburg starts at the Academy and finishes at the Fisherman’s Memorial. As you stroll, you might hear a blacksmith’s hammer echo through the streets from the wharf, or possibly see the iconic Bluenose II which is sometimes anchored there.
Enjoy a Feast in a Fortress
The Halifax Citadel is a National Historic Site of Canada and played a key role in the growth of Halifax and Canada. Originally built as a military fortification to protect the British from enemies, the Citadel now watches over the city's downtown and serves as a reminder of Halifax's past. After your tour of the Citadel, enjoy dinner in one of the historically converted rooms surrounded by beautiful high brick walls, period paintings and fine woodwork.

Mahone Bay & Peggy’s Cove
No trip to Nova Scotia is complete without a glimpse of these picture-perfect places. Mahone Bay is a beautiful small town with a scenic harbour. Of the 160 historic lighthouses in Nova Scotia, the world-famous one at Peggy’s Cove is the most photographed in Canada.
