Back in the Saddle Again!
Calgary is Canada’s best, in a Stetson. It’s a can-do city overloaded with generosity, dern-good cookin’, a fresh forward-thinking culture, and that out-west cowboy vibe. Calgary ticks off every checkbox on a traveller’s list, including playing host to Canada’s biggest party, the Calgary Stampede! Staying in downtown Calgary, you are within walking distance of the Stampede excitement!
Let’s head out for a bit! The Badlands bury prehistoric bones under 8,000 hectares of fossil-rich prairie and Lake Louise has that jaw-dropping view that keeps the postcard industry profitable. Nature went overboard here: an incredible turquoise lake at the foot of hulking mountains divided by the Victoria Glacier and fringed with evergreens. Take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain for lunch and then float down the Bow River before heading to Banff. Your final evening you'll enjoy panoramic views of the city while dining at the Sky 360 Restaurant and Lounge at the top of the Calgary Tower.
There’s a lot to do in one week, so put on your cowboy boots, breathe in Alberta BBQ savoury aromas, and give us your best “Yeehaw, Honey!” We’re in for seven spectacular days, crowned by Canada’s favourite summer rodeo – with seats so close you’ll feel like you’re in the saddle!
